Alienware Aurora R10 Graphic Card Upgrade

On the search to upgrade the GeForce 3060 Ti on my 4-year-old Alienware Aurora R10.

I really like the design of this case. One reason why I bought this PC instead of self building; the other is that PC Parts was rare at Corona pandemia. So it was cheaper to buy this PC instead of self building. This PC case is only very compact. So there need to be checked before if a new graphic card will fit.

With some research thanks to Reddit and Dell Forum I found a filter to find graphic cards which will fit into the case:

So i bougth the GeForce RTX™ 5070 12G VENTUS 2X OC

Additionally, I needed to upgrade my 550-watt power supply. I chose the SeaSonic Focus GX V4 ATX 3 (2024) 850 W.

The PC Upgrade was really easy.

Now I get stable 100 FPS in CoD Warzone with high settings and full resolution (5.120 x 1.440 Pixel) instead of 60 FPS with medium settings as before.

I have the special situation that I upgraded two years ago to a Samsung 49" Odyssey OLED G9 monitor. So my graphic power demand is a "little" more than a regular Full HD computer setup. 😄

I wanted to buy a GeForce 5080 / 5090, because of my monitor but there are no graphics cards which will fit in this case. Currently, I'm not in the mood to buy a new PC only to have GeForce 5080 / 5090.

This PC is serving well done since 4 years for me. Funny is that I bought the new graphic card exactly 4 years after I purchased this pc. Reason was mainly that I got many FPS stuttering in Oblivion Remastered outside of Dungeons / Houses which are now gone.
